Snatch the presses – hundreds of copies of student paper stolen

Making unwanted information disappear is no longer the sole domain of shady government agencies. Student reporters at Florida Gulf Coast University recently discovered that a dozen distribution racks had been emptied. This represents a loss of anywhere from 720 to 1,440 editions of the Eagle News.
The paper recently ran a story highlighting the $16,000 debt owed by the men’s lacrosse team. This was the only recent story that editor-in-chief Kelli Krebs could point to as possibly being considered controversial.
If not retaliation, somebody’s got one heck of a paper maché project in the works.

Read mores bout this at the Student Press Law Center.
